1. Controller

SL Handel GmbH, Grafenaustrasse 11, 6300 Zug, anfrage@baubewilligt.ch. This policy applies to baubewilligt.ch and the associated e-mail and messenger channels. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies.

2. Which data we process

  • Enquiry data: name, e-mail, phone, address of the construction project, details of the structure, deadlines, description, uploaded photos and plans, correspondence.
  • Order data: power of attorney, land register and cadastral details, application documents, correspondence with authorities, payment status (no card data; this is processed by the payment service provider).
  • Technical data: hosting server logs (IP address, time, page accessed, browser) for security and error analysis. The permit check stores your last entry locally in your browser (localStorage), not with us.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Answering your enquiry, preparing the assessment, performing the contract (preparing and submitting the application, communicating with the building authority), invoicing, operational security and (only with your consent) information about our services.

4. Automated processing

Incoming enquiries and e-mails are partly pre-sorted and answered automatically (e.g. acknowledgement of receipt, status update) and classified using AI-assisted text analysis so that we can respond faster. Decisions with legal effect for you (assessment, offer, submission) are always made by a person. You can request personal handling at any time.

5. Recipients and processors

  • Building authorities (municipality, canton): submission of the application on your behalf.
  • Plan author partners in cantons with a qualification requirement, contractually bound to confidentiality.
  • Hosting and database: Vercel Inc. (USA; website delivery), Supabase Inc. (database, data centre in Europe).
  • Location suggestions: to suggest postcodes, places and addresses, your browser queries the official federal address search (swisstopo, geo.admin.ch) and the OpenPLZ API as you type. We do not store these queries.
  • E-mail delivery: a transactional e-mail service (Resend Inc., USA) and Infomaniak (Switzerland) for the business mailbox.
  • AI text analysis: Anthropic PBC (USA) for classifying incoming messages; only the text content needed for classification is transmitted, no payment data.
  • Solar check: your address entry goes directly from your browser to the federal geoportal (geo.admin.ch, Federal Office of Topography swisstopo) to find the address and roof areas. We store nothing in the process. Only when you request a quote do we store the address and roof assessment together with your contact details.
  • Solar installers: only if you expressly consent when requesting a solar quote do we pass your contact details, the address and the roof assessment on to a vetted installer in your region. The installer uses the data exclusively for the quote. You can withdraw your consent at any time by e-mail.
  • Payments: Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) incl. TWINT; we do not see any card data.

Disclosures abroad are made only to countries with adequate data protection or on the basis of standard contractual clauses or the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. Retention

Enquiries without an order: 12 months. Order dossiers: 10 years (statutory retention obligation for business records). Server logs: 30 days.

7. Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Should we use privacy-friendly, cookie-free audience measurement in the future, we will say so here.

8. Your rights

For access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, write to anfrage@baubewilligt.ch. We reply within 30 days. Complaints may be lodged with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
